ARMA (the Asphalt Roofing Manufacturers Association) states that high-pressure washing is a failure to comply with their guidelines, so we do not and will not use high pressure on your roof. We use soft washing only, a low-pressure method that applies a specially concentrated mix of sodium hypochlorite and surfactant that clings to the roof and kills the organisms causing the black discoloration and streaking. We also neutralize and dilute the high-concentration runoff from your gutter downspouts, so your vegetation stays healthy and undamaged.

We use the industry-standard soft wash chemistry: a low-percentage sodium hypochlorite solution mixed with a bleach-safe soap (surfactant). The sodium hypochlorite is the sanitizing agent (it kills algae, mold, and mildew at the root) while the soap helps the solution cling to the growth long enough to do its work. Everything is applied at low pressure and thoroughly rinsed when the job is done.
